How a project with Workflowbyte works.
These are the standing terms behind every quote. Each project also gets a one-page proposal that lists the exact scope, price and dates; where the two differ, the signed proposal wins. Last updated October 16, 2026.
Quotes and scope
- Every quote is a fixed price for the scope written on the proposal, including what is explicitly out of scope.
- Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts, either as a fixed add-on or in prepaid blocks of hours.
- A quote is valid for 30 days.
Payment
- 50% of the project price is due before work begins. The balance is due before the site or automation goes live.
- Care plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled any time; the current month is not refunded.
- Third-party costs such as domains, hosting above the free tier, paid APIs and ad spend are paid by you, in your own accounts.
Your part
- You provide the content, photos, logins and approvals listed in the proposal by the dates on it. Launch dates move day for day when those arrive late.
- You confirm you have the right to use everything you give me, including photos, logos and text.
- One round of revisions is included at each review point in the proposal; more are quoted.
Ownership
- Once the final payment clears, you own the site, the code written for you, the content and the accounts. Domains, hosting, analytics and ad accounts are created in your name from the start.
- I keep the right to reuse general techniques and components that are not specific to your business, and to show the finished work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to in writing.
Care plans and support
A care plan covers hosting setup, updates, backups, and the monthly hours of small changes stated on the plan. Larger changes are quoted. Without a care plan, support after launch is billed in prepaid blocks of hours.
Cancellation
Either side can end a project in writing. Work completed to that point is billed against the deposit, and anything finished is handed over. Deposits for work already done are not refunded.
Limits
I build and test carefully, but websites depend on services nobody fully controls: hosting, payment processors, email providers, search engines. I am not liable for their outages, for lost revenue, or for amounts beyond what you paid me for the affected project. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
